Vehicle owners encouraged to perform health checks in the coming months!

Due to the impact of the six-month MOT exemption last April when the pandemic started, the DVSA are now encouraging vehicle owners to get the relevant health checks on their cars as fewer vehicles will need an MOT during April & May.

The next few months could become a challenging time for garages across the industry, but the DVSA is taking steps to ensure that business owners are not alone now that MOT work is set to reduce. On March 5th, the DVSA launched a new campaign ‘Whatever your essential journey, make it SAFE’, as the previous ‘Beat the Rush’ launch was highly successful in Autumn last year.

Garages are invited to download the DVSA’s latest toolkit and to use the templates for social media and email messages to customers.

Making the best of a bad situation...

Although this new campaign shines hope on garages across the UK, business owners are all too familiar with the changing landscape of service demand. The next couple of months then, offer the ideal opportunity for garages to optimise their current services.

A few garages were ahead of the game in the Lockdown 1.0, getting into the nitty-gritty of their business and how to make their services more efficient – it could be you this time around! And if your garage equipment is finally up to scratch, ensuring you have a reliable garage services team behind you in case of an emergency or to perform vital periodic maintenance, can make the difference in the long run.

Here at ISN Garage Assist, we have trained professionals to take care of your MOT Bay Management & Equipment Maintenance all year round!
