It's out with the old and in with the new at Kwik Fit Taunton
When HiQ Tyres and Autocare Preston won a contract with a large overnight delivery company they needed a bigger vehicle lift to accommodate their vans. Having been Hofmann Megaplan customers for years they were keen to extend the relationship and it was a great opportunity to bring both sides of the ISN Garage Assist team together to complete the job.
Senior Hofmann Engineer Iain Harpin teamed up with ISN Garage Assist engineers Nigel O'Neil and Sam Orr to undertake the installation, removing the original TX 4000 scissor lift (with a 4.8m platform and max capacity of 4 tons) and replacing it with a much bigger Hofmann Megaplan Geolift 6400, with a 5.2m platform with a 6.4 ton capacity.
The installation also required us to reposition another lift to accommodate the new, wider one and to relocate and recalibrate their megaline Ssence 3D wheel aligner. Hofmann Alignment Specialist, Chris Jones, joined in for that part of the job.
