Electrical Services

Unlike other providers of garage equipment, ISN Garage Assist don’t leave you in the lurch when it comes to electrical connections. Often garage equipment suppliers will happily bolt down or build a new piece of equipment in your workshop but if the electrical connection doesn’t already exist, they’ll walk away, leaving you to make all the arrangements!

Quality electrical services under the same roof

ISN Garage Assist offers a full electrical service by a fully-qualified and totally dedicated in-house team of electricians – yes, they’re ‘on the books’, not sub-contracted – which means we can get things done on schedule, to our own high standards, and make life easier for our customers.

As far as we can tell, we are the only garage equipment company in the UK that can offer in-house electrical services and the quality of their work is guaranteed because we have ‘full scope accreditation’ from NAPIT, the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers.

Harrison Hoy City & Guilds Electrical Apprentice

Craig, Callum, Steven and Harrison are passionate about what they do and they happen to be very good at it (don’t tell them we said, but they’re actually nice blokes too!). Which is great for ISN Garage Assist because we have a reputation for a high quality of products and service to maintain; you can be sure that when it comes to electrical services for your garage, this team will impress.

* Craig’s Gold Card is proof that he’s been assessed under the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme and deemed competent. The SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme) is a Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) qualification that’s required for work on sites being constructed under Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

But what does all this mean for you?

First and foremost, you can be confident that we really know what we’re doing. Our electrical services team are fully qualified to address anything to do with the electrics in your garage.

They can inspect and certify your electrical installation, providing you with the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) that you need every five years.

They can provide a complete electrical circuit installation in a new building, or ensure you have all the power you need for a new MOT bay, providing all the certification you need.

On a slightly less grand scale, they’ll install:

·       General Power

·       Lighting

·       Data points

·       3-Phase supply (which you’ll need for lifts, brake testers and some compressors)

·       32A single phase power

…and provide fixed wire and PAT testing.

It’s often cheaper than finding your own electrician and a lot less hassle too.

Let’s say you’re installing a new MOT bay. Our team will be involved from the site survey through to handover. They’ll know the size of the job, they’ll come prepared, they’ll ensure that all the electrics are correctly wired, tested and certificated and, before they leave, that all your new equipment is powered-up and ready to go!

Did you know that, if you’re having a new two-post lift installed, you need two engineers on site to ensure the lift columns are accurately positioned and installed safely – but after that, it becomes a one-person job? If we’re installing the electrics for the lift, we’ll send a lift engineer and an electrical engineer to site. Once the lift is secured the lift engineer can get on with the rest of the lift installation, while our electrical engineer sorts the power supply – two people, one day. Compare that with the company that sends two lift engineers to site but leave you to sort the electrics after they’ve gone.
